PLC and CAO

    Hi,

    I am currently in Leaving Cert and I have applied for a couple of PLC's and have several courses on my CAO.

    If i was offered a PLC and accepted it before I got my leaving cert results and I was then offered a CAO course in August could I then accept the CAO course and get the grant for it instead of doing the already accepted PLC?

    I'm so confused.

    Yes you could. You would need to inform SUSI if you change courses in August as you would then need them to pay the college registration fee as well as the maintenance grant. I'd suggest that you put your first choice of college course on your grant application instead of PLC.
