Cheapest way to use mobile in America?

    Travelling to America for 3 weeks soon. What is the cheapest way to communicate with home during that time. On a bill pay at the moment with 3 and will get my pants pulled down using it over there... Any input greatly appreciated.

    Turn off data-connection (on roaming you would be paying crazy prices). When in Wi-FI hotspots use Facebook, Viber, Whatsap and any other social apps there is.

    Im not sure how much Wifi hotspots there would be for free in America, but in London nearly everywhere has it. Im sure america is the same.
