    Hi all,

Went to the dentist last week over my 2nd from the back molar, the filling fell out again for the 3rd time in 3 years. I asked my dentist what they thought I should do.

    1. root canal and crown - €1000 +
    2. bridge work - €500+
    3. remove tooth and leave the gap

She did say that leaving the gap can cause problems later on. Like problems with bite and a sunken jaw bone.
What would you recommend? Has anyone else had this experience. I just can't keep getting it filled.

    I need something more permanent.

    Thanks
    Sarah

An implant is an option also, if you can save the tooth do that for the long term health of your teeth.

If you can save your natural tooth it will be better than the most fancy dental implant, man hasnt been successful in replicating nature yet, only copy.

Also bear in mind even though implant is a good option there is ongoing maintenance cost for the implant and the crown that is fitted on the implant
