hotpoint washing machine help needed

Hotpoint Wt540 washing machine door won't open, think handles gone, how do I get into to it to open and fix . Thanks

Remove lid and go in through the top down to the interlock, be sure there is no water still in the machine.

Many thanks, got the door open, just a bit awkward taking door apart, is there a knack to doing it, few screws out but still tight, Il probably have to replace handle mechanism

It should prize apart, just go slowley dont break the clips holding it together ( use something thin and flat - not a flat screwdriver it will damage it)
When you have the 2 skins taken apart you will see the door handel and catch take note of the positions of the springs and what direction the hook goes on the catch take a pic on phone is best that way you can look back to see what way it goes because there will be 1 maybe 2 springs in it and if there not put back in right once you change the handel ure screwed
Also note what way the glass bowl/door goes when you open the 2 skins, sometimes they have arrows to show you what way it goes back together sometimes not so just take note of it.

Opening it slowly and taking time to note where everything goes/comes from will make it so much easier to put back together.;)
