LG washer, no water on any cycle except rinse?

Anyone any ideas as to what could be wrong? There is no water coming into the machine on any of the wash cycles, cotton, quick wash etc, but when I put it on Rinse and Spin there is?

one of the coils in the solenoid valve must be open circuit (faulty) really a job for a service engineer unless you are a good diy er
