MacBook Air with no admin password set is looking for an admin password

I've just sold my MacBook Air. Before I sold it, I erased the HD and did a fresh OSX install. During the registration process I skipped everything I could and didn't create any passwords.

Now, the person I sold it to is reporting that he can't do things like update Adobe Flash etc because the computer is looking for an admin password, which to my knowledge does not exist.

    What can we do?

Tried just entering no password? That's how I had mine set up for a while. When prompted, just hit enter.

Is the account you created an admin account? Did the person set a password after you sold it to him?

You can reset passwords from Recovery Mode via the Terminal app. Type 'resetpassword' and follow the prompts.
