Anybody have any experience good or bad with this?
I heard it is one of the most stable hop units due to its design.

There is a hop rubber included in the package would it be better than a Gaurder Clear?
Currently have a G&G grey hop unit and Gaurder clear rubber- looking to optimise the range.

I recently bought a VFC M4 and on the advice of a guy I regularly go airsofting with, I immediately took out the stock hop up unit and put in one of these. It has to be assembled beforehand and the nub is a bitch to get in straight but once assembled, it's so simple to use. There's a large wheel to adjust the hop in place of the smaller and sometimes finicky wheels on typical M4 hop up units. It also has an optional rubber ring that stops bbs falling out of the unit/magwell when you eject a mag. It's a small thing I know but saves bbs falling on the floor. There's also an option to use a tracer unit on it.

So yes, I would recommend it!

Cheers, did you get a chance to see what the range is like? I've been tempted for a while to pick one of these up if it can extend my reach.

Well the range of a gun is down to several things, like a tight bore barrel, how good the air seals in the gearbox are, the spring type, condition of the rubber and the hop unit itself. In my case, my VFC was brand new and I put the mad bull unit into it straight away without even trying the stock hop up so tbh, I couldn't tell you if it is "better". What I can say is that it's so easy to use, and the little gimmick of stopping the bbs falling out when you eject a mag is, well, no gimmick as it works.

I paid €38 for the one I bought in a hobby airsoft.

I did hear that they aren't good to accept other brand hopup rubbers than the madbull ones.

Don't know how well the madbull one works from firsthand experience but the hopup unit in the dboys scar l works really well and you might notice how familiar it looks.
