    Nigel Farage said it so now the Tories will do the exact opposite.

    This is pretty much what you're up against asking any gov. for firearms;
    'The logical consequence of relaxing gun laws, as suggested by Mr Farage, is an increase in gun use which should be discouraged rather than encouraged. Any change could possibly act as a green light for an increase in criminality.'

    The criminals will apparently see the law change and say 'Grand, we must be ok to have our ones too then'. Idiots:pac:

    It won't achieve anything except that the champagne socalists and guardian readers will be up in arms in righteous indignation.

    Along with the normal decent people who don't happen to think that being black means you're not a human being. That chap is about as nasty a piece of work as the UK's ever produced, the more so because he dons the suit and looks respectableish when he wants to. Honestly, if you had to rig things so handguns never came back to the UK, you'd have to work damn hard to come up with a better plan than getting Farage to call for their return.

    Fair enough, he's a total d1ck but I agree with what Farage said in that article.

    As for Peter Squires, professor of criminology at Brighton University. His quote below is just totally ridiculous.
    "It will generate a demand, it will generate illegal traffic around that demand – the problem with hand guns is that they are small and concealable and they are already the weapon of choice of gangs members and criminals.”
    So, people legally licenced to have a handgun will create a demand for illegal ones? Aye. :mad::mad:

    Doesn't matter if he's right or not; it's who and what he is that's the problem. Doesn't matter how much we need help, we'd never need it enough to want it from him. Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas.

    Old news from this time last year!!When he first stated that concept.. Obviously a slow news day with someone looking over last years papers and deciding to ask Farange to see if he could get some looney response.

    "If you want to keep someone away from your house, Just fire the shotgun through the door."
