VW caddy code fault

    Hi all.
    I have a 2006 VW Caddy 1.9tdi.
    Van seems to be in limp mode- no power and yellow engine light on.
    I read the fault with a friends CReader V.
    the following comes up as a pending code PO236 Boost Sensor A Circuit range/performance.

    I have already changed the boost control solonoid with genuine VW part- no difference.
    Boost pipe from turbo to intercooler does not increase in pressure when engine is revved.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
