Parking ticket with 18mins left on paid parking

Hi, funny one getting a ticket in tralee while having 18 minutes left on the paid parking disc.I think it must be a genuine mistake but wanted to enquire about best way to handle it? The paid parking receipt was on the dash on the passenger side I should point out. Advice appreciated on best way to proceed thx

Take a photo of them both and lodge an appeal.

Seems pretty straightforward to me.
