Throttle body on Freelander making a slight banging noise. Brought in to main dealer who said -part €160, labour 2 and a half hours which will amount to over €400 in total. I've been told by someone else it could ne done in an hour. Has anyone any knowledge or experience of this job?

Have a look here - http://www.freel2.com/forum/ for answers and don't go near a main dealer!

If it's out of warranty any independent mechanic should be able to fix it.
