    He's a serial killer with good intentions...if there's such a thing!

Saw IV on next week too, Channel 4 seem to be on a Saw marathon.

Was the last one I saw in the cinema, couldn't be arsed after that. The first one was a decent little thriller and then it spiralled into this cash in yearly update. I've seen bits and pieces (ho ho!) of the other ones on tv and that but couldnt tell one from t'other.

That ending was very clever actually, well done Jigsaw. I presume the 4th movie is about the guy tryna save his daughters life?

I enjoyed them, and like NUTZZ said he's a bad guy who only targets bad guys. And he doesn't actually kill them, but leaves them with the decision to inflict pain to save themselves, which is a play on the whole reason they're there in the first place!

It's kinda like a serial killer who only kills murderers/rapists/etc. Possibly doing society a solid, but still a killer...

He claimed never to have killed anyone. Not only is he a very wicked man, he is an awful hypocrite.

I read that the Jigsaw actor, Tobin Bell, provoked terror in a waitress who recognised him in a restaurant. Apparently, he was quite nice about it and reassured the waitress that he had no immediate plans for her demise.

I've seen all 7. The first is a legitimately good horror movie. I think the fact that there is actually an story arc more or less preserved over the 7 films (however flimsy) is kind of impressive. A number of the films run in concurrent timelines as well from what I remember.

Certainly not the worst franchise around. I think it manages to maintain a level of quality that isn't there in other sequels of other long running franchises.

The original to the third are respectable with the inevitable expected chronological dip in quality, the forth and fifth installments were poor and abysmal respectively, but they really pulled it back somewhat unexpectedly with the sixth and seventh, both of which I rather enjoyed.

Saw IV on Channel 4 HD tonight at 11.20pm, it seems to be the end in their little 4 week Saw run.

1 was great, 2 & 3 was ok and I thought it had finished at 5. After finding this thread I downloaded 6 & 7. Watched 6 and I wont be watching 7.
