Eircom Broadband Still Not Connected

Hi all I signed up to Eircom broadband and find the service the worst I have ever come across.

I signed up late November and was given a date of install for cable and then when the actuall broadband would be up and running by the 24th December.

Now as you can all see it is now the 24th January and I have the router D1000 but not DSL connection as there has been no attempt to connect it up at the exchange.

I have contacted Eircom on live chat, phoned them and emailed them(many many many times)

They have told me that there is a problem but nobody knows what and the main man was contacted internally but he didn't even bother getting back so I am paying for a service which is none exsistent.

I have never had such a poor service especially from such a large company and I am digusted by how they have treated me.

How can I go about cancelling this as I need broadband and have to go elsewhere to get it as they have not kept to their end of the contract.

Really there is no connection and not possible even tech support couldn't do anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

While I can understand your anger/frustration etc you would only be able to go to UPC without a connection in place - so unless you have UPC available to you you will need the connection. Have you tried any of the reps in the Eircom forum. In times of dire stress an old fashioned letter to the Chief Executive of a company may work wonders.

We are doing the letter just was really looking to get it done and working.

I had UPC but where we are just outside a village they don't serve.

We could get Wicklow Broadband as line of sight is an option.

    Thanks for the tips.
