Anyone know where there are some good regular trad sessions on, preferably in the city center? Wedensday or Thursday nights would be ideal but I'm interested in any night of the week really.

A friend of the Da's plays here every Tuesday night. Saw a guy with bag pipes play with them one night. Quite cool really.

Squire Mc Guires and Bobby Byrnes both have trad on Thursdays.

There have been posts about this before on this forum.
Dolans on the Dock Road have a session everynight.
The A1 pub on the Dublin Road on a Tuesday night.
My favourite session is MCGraths on a Wednesday night, but its not in town, its in Boher. Well worth the drive.

Yes - I was here last Tuesday. The place was very busy and the fella on the squeeze box was class.

Does anyone know if any of these sessions are open for any musician to join?
