Issue with camera Samsung Galaxy S2

    basically I got a second hand samsung galaxy s2 recently.
    Everytime I load up camera it says cant connect to camera.

    I can't use instagram or snapchat.
    When I make a video or a non video call on skype it cuts out straight away.

    However I can record and send videos on skype (so assumably the front camera is ok?)

    is there anyway to set the instagram/snapchat cameras to front camera so that I can use them the same way that the skype video works.

    I am running cyanogen mod 10.2

    issue was present before rooting.

    Did you flash a stock ROM just to rule out if the camera is at fault?
    You can quickly and easily go back to cyanogenmod after.

    it was on a stock rom before I rooted it yesterday and it was the same then
