Missed deadline

    Hi all.

    Looking for some advice/info.

Basically, our daughter was accepted into our primary school of choice for september - happy days.

Problem is - the deadline for paying the fee was on monday. We've missed this as we've been in in Spain for the past 3 weeks coping with a fairly serious family emergency (my partner is Spanish.) Got back today and realised we completely forgot about it, tbh our minds were on other things.

Gonna call or head up to the school first thing monday morning and see what's what as it was too late to do anything about it today.

Feeling devastated about it at the moment cause we just feel the place is gone now - on top of the family stuff.

Anyone any experience of this situation or advice?

    Thanks in advance.

Ring the school on Mon morning and ask for appointment with Principal....tell your story. Principals are human and hopefully the one you'll meet is too! I wonder if every other parent has paid up on time??? I suppose that could depend on the area you live in and how much money the parents may have. My school is a DEIS Band 2 school and we would rarely have all parents paying on time. We sometimes have to make allowances for deserving cases etc. So, it does depend on the ability of parents in your area to pay, but your excuse is genuine and I wish you luck.
