    Hi,

Currently on a set of two year old Shimano RS501 which are pretty worn out at this stage.

I have about €200 to spend could anybody recommend a set of wheels for me and a link would be great too!

    Cheers!

Thanks! Would you rate them better than Aksiums?

I don't know yet. I bought a set as an emergency/spare pair but haven't used them.

How did you know I had Aksiums?

Khamsins are a decent wheelset for around €150.

    Oh I know you.

Kidding, I was simply wondering if they were better than Aksiums didn't realise you had them. How are they?

Must say I like the look of the 2014 Fulcrum 5s they've cut a fair bit of the weight of them at about 1650g they're a good bit lighter than akisiums. There about €220-230 most places but I saw them on one site for around €200 I'll try and find them later.

I have them on my commuter/hacker. There're ok but I seem to lose spokes fairly regularly on them. (Some LBS don't stock the spokes either).

    I've had that problem too

Fulcrum 7 or 5. Changed from aksiums (shot rims after a year) to fulcrum 7 recently. They are a bit heavier but the feel is much firmer, bit more road buzz but less flex and at 120-130 moneys they're a good value set. The missus has had a pair of 7's for the last 2 years and has had no issues at all (with almost daily use on Dublin city roads).
A friend of mine has the 5's and he's very happy with them, also second year on them (and he's a big lad, around 100kg or so).
