    hi all

im vaping two weeks and have a very bad skin rash
im prone to eczema anyway and especially in winter
so it could be coincidence but its never been this bad
and its nothing new, im 40 and have had it since i was a kid
I did a bit of reading and wast to try a 100% Vg to rule out Pg intolerance

ive had a look on some of the online shops but cant find a 100%VG
(but in fairness i dont know what brands do it so im shooting in the dark)
where can i get some to try? just a small bottle

    thanks

Enjuice.com do a pg only range.

    95%+ VG might do?
Some love these juices, I think they're just OK, but if you don't want a shock avoid Grandpa's Cough Medicine. Acquired taste.

I've tried the VG before because I developed a bit if a sensitivity to PG (nose area tended to get spots, ridiculous looking, like Rudolf) but found it a 'numb' vape. Think you can add vodka to spice it up a bit though.

I moved to high VG after getting a reaction from the 50/50 PG and VG liquids..

Paul and Sabrina at E-smoke Ireland will make up any of the Wingnuts range in high VG - the nic base is VG and the only PG is in the flavourings used - that was enough to stop a PG reaction for me.

I now mix my own, and again, no problems with 10 or 15% PG from the flavourings

If you really want to try 100% VG, check out Virgin Vapors range at Uk ecig store (costly but lovely)

    hi all

    thought id update y'all

i tried VG for a week and saw no difference
    rash was still really bad
so, i bit the bullet and went back on the analogues
since last sunday and its clearing up rapidly :(
    so im allergic to vaping!

    heres the intersting bit.....
i rang an allergy test place and they said
they have had loads of vapers in
folk who have tried all sorts of juices to no avail,
they told me that the reason im having the reaction
is not about juice types or PG, its an increase in damp heat
in your system from the vapour in the lungs
and that is where the reaction is from.
although im not 100% i think she was implying that
it exaggerates dermatitis/eczema in people prone to it
she told me to knock the vaping for ten days and i'll have my answer
(i had already started that anyway)

so , is that it, am i done with vaping?
really gutted, it was going very well and i miss it
going back on the analogues sucks

    cheers

Sounds plausible. Do you generally flare up when it's humid? Any change of diet coinciding with any of this? Some sufferers have to go gluten-free and all sorts of other stuff to escape it.
GrimmGreen made a video about this a couple of years ago & he still vapes so maybe try to find what works for him because the reason the allergy test place gave is only a possibility. They should know better than to say "This is the reason." for an ailment with so many triggers. Seems dumb.

if he has discovered anything since the vid, thanks for the link

Hey Fourmations. I get eczema too, have done since I was a child. After about a week or so of vaping it flared up really badly. I was worried I was allergic to the PG. It was so bad that when I put e45 cream on my face it felt like it was burning which normally never happens. I went to the GP and his view was that I wasn't actually allergic to the PG but that it was irritating or aggravating an underlying condition (same with the E45 because of the lanolin it contains). The underlying cause was a yeast infection (on my freaking face) which caused the seborrhoeic eczema. I was put on a steroid cream and an antifungal ointment and it cleared up almost overnight. Doctor told me to stick with the e-cigs unless it continued as they are obviously way better than smokes. Still vaping and the eczema had pretty much completely cleared up after a week. If you want more details regarding what I was prescribed feel free to pm me, but I'm not a doctor so don't want to post the names of any prescription medications publicly for obvious reasons. TLDR: Got bad eczema but I'm not allergic to vaping, go to your GP.

EDIT: I just noticed today that one of the ointments I use to treat the eczema has PG as an ingredient (as do many shampoos and shower gels), so that certainly suggests that the PG isn't the problem, for me at least.

    Hello fourmations ,

Any further update on below ? likewise I've gone through many different variants of ejuice -
to 100% VG / low nicotine etc but still psoriasis reacts .. did you manage to stay on the analogues ? if so any recommendation on any that would be as satisfying as vaping .. or an ejuice that works for you --?
