The Marvels - New Lead Singer

    Hey all,

    I m in the process of booking a wedding band. Friends of mine seen the marvels at a wedding before and said they were brillant. I looked up their videos on you tube and they appear excellent. Both of us want something different than the usually wedding band. However I ve now been informed that they have a new lead singer and Red is no longer their frontman. Has anyone seen the marvels with their new frontman and how would you rate them ??

    New frontman Bernard is brilliant. Yes Red (or Billy) was fab as well but I popped along to Bernard's first showcase and he was really excellent... and I am a frontwoman myself. I am sure he can only go from strength to strength. He was with the Aristocrats for a few years too.

    The Marvels have some of the best session musicians in the country and are genuinely one of Ireland's most entertaining bands. Change of singer or not-they are still among the cream of Irish wedding bands.

    And no I am in no way affiliated with the band but have played before and after them at gigs, festivals etc. Gentlemen and absolute professionals. I believe Billy is still managing and organising everything so you could not be in better hands.

    We had The Marvels at our wedding and they were absolutely brilliant. Billy was still singing with them, but I spent a good bit of time talking to him beforehand and I would be absolutely certain that there's no way he'd let standards drop. The band are all superb musicians as well, which shouldn't be discounted. There's more to a band than just the frontman.

    i saw them at a wedding in 2012, and to be honest they were amazing,

    im not sure which singer was with them then (probably the old one) but i can't imagine the quality would drop, head along and see them if you can but i would recommend them if you want a great atmosphere at the wedding i didn't really know anyone (i was invited as my husbands plus one) but they had us all dancing and laughing and it was very inclusive for everyone....
