I think the problem in Denmark was mainly down to the added vitamins, not sure why exactly.

You pretty much summed up EU right there.

Because the government has the right to regulate food trade to ensure the public aren't given dangerous or harmful foodstuffs, clearly. Just so we're clear, I'm not saying Marmite is dangerous, only making a point that governments do regulate what comes in and out of their borders for good reason.

If the Canadian public have a problem with it then they can vote in a government who won't but I'm not anticipating a massive outcry over this.

According to that link, they are also going to ban Lucozade because of the colouring ingredient. Surely, The Gatorade G Series range would have the same crap in them going by the unnatural looking colour of those drinks.

It's specific colouring agents that they have in Lucozade and Irn Bru, was also the reason that they changed the recipe for Tanora. They now have to carry a warning saying that they may have an adverse effect on activity in children or something along those lines.

Newsflash, morons. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's crap. It just means you don't like it.

    There is a difference!

Well, we are in after hours!

But in all seriousness-ness, this 'I don't like it so I shall declare it sh1te' attitude can be applied to everything!

I disagree with countries banning food without good reason (like potential danger to indigenous crops and wildlife, for example).

However Marmite is by no means food, so I commend Canada entirely for this.
