    Timing belt done? Listen for whirring noises from gearbox driving up through the gears or noises with clutch pedal released vs. pushed. Power steering can also give trouble, watch for an eps light on the dash although this probably isn't as common as gearbox bearing issues. Other than that its a bulletproof car if a little dull. 3 door is a much better looking car. I sold an 06 ep1 for 4250 iirc only 6 months ago, how does 2750 compare with other prices around for the same car?

    The car is for herself and she doesn't need anything too powerful or amazing in performance. The price is in and around the going rate for the year and mileage.
