Can anybody recommend to me an excellent memory card for my 3DS? I hear It can take up to 32gb cards, but what type of cards? Bit confused.

    Thanks.

It just takes regular SD cards.

Cool, so this one would be ok?

Sorry, I just want to be totally sure.

    yep

    £15 for 32GB Class 10? oooooh tempting...

Edit : If you fancy taking a punt, the 64GB is quite competitively priced too...

(also includes a link for a guide to transferring your data from 1 SD to another if you're having trouble with that)

Given the size of the DKCR download, I may need to look into this...

Yeah it's fine. Class 10 is recommended by Nintendo also, anything lower has lower read/write speeds and can negatively affect gameplay.

Don't know if that one would work, being class 10. You'd probably be better off sticking with class 4 or so.

Delayed posting this because of work stuff, but nevermind because I was wrong anyway! :pac:

Pretty sure 32GB is the maximum size that it can read though.

Haha, yeah the class thing, I dont get it but thats what I wanted to know, if it was ok to use. And it is, nice one guys.

See I am thinking of getting the Gold Zelda XL next week and might as well bundle the memory card into the order too at £15 ya cant go wrong.

And I do seem to be buying a lot of games from the eshop, so over the next few years just want it future proofed.

Another question, If I was to get this card and put it into my current xl, would all my content and games I have bought over the past while be still in my download list on the eshop or is all that just on the current SDHC card that comes with the 3ds?

In other words, can I swap out cards without losing all my game downloads?

Yeah, you can just copy from your existing one to the new one on the computer. I've done it a couple of times.
