    Hi

This may sound like a very stupid question but how do I got about changing the batteries on my carbon monoixde alarm (niglon)? It is makng a beeping sound about every 5 mns and when I unscrewed it, it said not to change batteries whilst connected to mains (which it is) so is there an easy way to disconnect from mains and change the batteries myself?

    Thanks :)
    Emma

you could go to the fuse board and trip the switch it is connected to thus cutting off the electricity supply to it.
