they seem to be selling in some countries across EU and seem to be selling in Austrailia as well also,, they don,t seem to be available to buy anywhere in any Irish hardware or bathroom stores to buy as of yet, which some might question why aren,t they available for purchase on the Irish market so far ?

The question for some would be: does it work effectively if you pee in the shower...?

Don't see it being cost effective.

Ya what? It looks INCREDIBLY cost effective, once the filter units are cheap enough to package and recycle.

    Installation,maintenance,purchase costs?
    How many thousands?

Much like having your own source of power, you're able to recoup costs. I'd hardly say installation, maintenance and purchasing would run you such a high figure that you will never save the money you spent.

An extra fifty or a hundred quid extra per year or whatever for high usage. It doesn't sound viable.
As a new installation maybe it would make more sense.

How much is your maintenance, blah blah, on your current shower? Did you really have to decide "I'll do without one, it's just not viable"? The only real difference is the filter. It's still just a shower.

We've no idea if it's worth it until we know how much were getting charged for water.
I've a feeling it's going to have a standing charge in or around €500 per house as to put people off rainwater harvesting and not paying anything.

Baby wipes and lynx could be a cost effective solution to the water demand.

I have something similar in my house for air. It recycles the air throughout the house, takes the warm air from the bathrooms and kitchen, passes it through a filter to remove moisture and passes it into the other rooms. It's great, has reduced my fresh air bill :D

Im looking at reports about the standing charge element,, some reports are saying there is to be a standing charge others are saying different bit of kiteflying.
Plans to impose standing charges on Irish Water customers must be scrapped, according to senior Labour Party sources

Underpopulated rain soaked island littered with rivers and lakes need water charges for conservation???

I'm all for saving the planet and paying for what you use in life but this just stinks of yet another stealth tax.
