    Hi all,

I'm looking at getting into animation but just need a few pointers from people who are experienced in the field, so I'd appreciate if you guys could answer these questions I have:

1.What software do you guys recommend for mac users?

    2. Books, online tutorials, websites for learning this material?

    3. Do you need to be good at drawing/art? (probably a dumb question)

    4. Is there any people here that do 1-1 tutoring sessions?

    thanks
    :)

    1. I use Adobe Flash Professional (if you can get CS3, use that)
    2. Try search Alex Butera on youtube, he does some tutorials, and also Happy Harry's Huha 2 How To's. There's probably some decent books but honestly the way to learn is to practice and use your initiative. You just need to learn the actual program, it doesn't take that long, especially if you go for frame by frame animation.
    3. Not especially, it's about movement, not necessarily the quality of the drawings themselves.
    4. Well I'm probably not good enough, I'm a hobbyist not an industry professional.

Just do stick animations and work your way up.
