Apparently the 2011 McLaren will be outside HMV in Dundrum tomorrow (Friday 24th of January) from 11am onwards. It's there to promote the release of Rush which is also out tomorrow.

They were taken on my phone a HTC One S, always been a good indoor camera.

Had a nice long chat with the guy in the mclaren T-shirt who was working for them. He was full of knowledge about the car and seemed confident they will have a better year this year, he also let me and my GF look right into the cockpit, which id say jenson was squeezed right into in that!!

The tyres look more plastic-y than rubbery

    Cool.

Yeah they were friendly. I asked to get a pic and I stood by the rope and the security guy asked if I wanted to go stand beside the car and he unhooked the rope and let me go right beside it. Pretty cool :)

I'm disgusted I just spotted this thread, missed it. Don't suppose it's on display anywhere else this weekend? Gutted

That's because they are, F1 tyres aren't rubber.

You can see the difference in the tyres in this picture. Front are srubbed. The other photos I have show how shiney the tyres are before being put on the cars.

The second photo shows the way uscrubbed tyres are.

Third picture shows the "plasticy" look is gone off.

They're show tyres. Totally different to the ones they run on. There just to prop the car up and make smoke when they spin.

Looks like the same car that JB took for a spin around Dublin at Bavaria City Racing in the summer of 2012
