    Have they attached an aerial and if so what type?

    He was under the impression that you dont need an aerial?

    Built in saorview?

    Saorview tuner but aerial required to receive the signal and get it to the tuner

    I have a wire coat hanger in the back of my tv and that's a sufficient enough aerial to get the Saorview channels.

    That depends on Saorview signal strength where your TV is located, also taking care not to damage the TV's co-ax socket.
