Hi guys, im new to historical wargaming and was wondering if people on here had preferences as to opponents armies in a club? As in, do you prefer to keep it to believable historical encounters or do you mind if Japanese soldiers lay siege to Berlin? :D

I'm a member of the only (that I know of) WW2 wargaming club in Dublin, we play Thursday nights in Gamer's World. We don't mind about the historical bit, mainly because some people might only own a force for one side, so blue on blue matchups are inevitable, unless you want to play the same opponent week in, week out.

Our club in Kildare generally only plays historical based games but our Cold War gone hot has a dose of the fantasy about it, as it never happened.
