Where is a good place to find out all or some of the Vintage and classic car events, shows etc in Ireland?

Specifically I'm looking for things that might be on in Leinster. The reason I'm asking is that my granddad has an MG BGT that he has owned since almost new. He lost his license for a few years years but recently got it back and is looking to bring it to a few places throughout the year.

Any information would be appreciated

..that's the magazine BTW, not the website. The mag has a full calendar of events in each issue.

Im just planning to use Diabhalta's great thread for 2013. The vast majority of the shows will be on around the same weekend for 2014, just google the event nearer the time to be certain.

Also you could look in on the IVETA website, they carry a fairly comprehensive list of shows and runs

The Irish Vintage Society have a site with events, might not be updated too regularly so use with caution.
Irish Vintage Scene is the best all-round source imho.

Find it frustrating at times when folks decide to hold an event out of the blue, usually clashing with something else not to far away, and having to choose between the two.

The amount of clubs in attendance I hear is 38 way up on the 18 from the previous. Also AutoJumble has been added..

That's how I got the dates... (but I had to do some research to make sure the dates are correct for 2013 of course). I think using the club web pages (or facebook pages in some cases) is the best way to get the dates for 2014.

I usually go to same shows every year, so I write down the list of shows and then I just get the dates off the internet.

The NCBI show clashed date wise with Mondello Live so its been changed to 20th July

I always ring a day or two beforehand, things can be cancelled at short notice.

Some online event guides I wouldn't trust as far as I'd throw them, esp. those of the copy/paste school of website design, arragh shure twas on last year, shure it'll be on again.
