Repairing the paintwork - how much lads?

    Hello everyone,

    Looking for some advice from those who know better than I do.

    Recently I scuffed the side of my car on a gate, stupidly. The damage wasn't too bad at all. It was mostly all just paint that could easily be taken off.

    However, a bit of a hames was made of taking the specs and marks of paint off because now the actual paintwork of the car is a bit damaged and discoloured - basically you can see someone was trying to scrub something off.

    All in all it's not too bad, but I would like to get it touched up again as it is a fairly new car. Basically, what I am looking for is to get the equivalent of half one of the back doors resprayed with black paint, or whatever would be necessary to make it look better.

    Any ideas what a realistic estimate for this kind of job would be with a garage or paintwork man to be trusted?

    If it's a relatively new car I'd only recommend a professional job be carried out on it.
