Miss out socially - nope. I have real friends that I talk to and not 1500 fake friends on FB. I also go outside and have real interaction with people.

Miss out workwise - nope. Who talks about work on FB?

Life went on before FB and it will go on long after FB is gone.

I find a lot of clubs and whatnot post their details only on facebook etc, which is a bit of a pain...

Yeah lad I know where you work and you missed out big time. Just think - coke and hookers - and you'll have some idea of what you missed out on.

Hookers were free too by the way.

I get in free to a lot of clubs using facebook and also sort out meeting places with friends using it so yes I would miss out socially if I wasn't on it. I think Facebook is one of the most useful websites ever created so I like being on it. I'm in constant contact with friends and family through it. I still see them in real life every day but Facebook just adds something to the relationships I have with my friends. I can check if they're still alive after a rough night out or I can embarrass them by sending them photos f themselves through private mail the night after. It's just fun. I don't understand people who are dead set against Facebook and never use it but each to their own I suppose.

Stopped going on there cos of all the effin baby photos. Followed by the inevitable “So cute!”

    I DON’T CARE!

When I realized I wasn’t getting anything out of it, I just stopped.

Occasionally though I’ll find that some businesses only update information (upcoming events and the like) on Facebook so I have to go on.

I would definitely miss out socially - getting into places for free, arranging to meet up etc.. Even for college our course has our own FB group which is handy for finding out info.

    This +1

Its the attention seeking aspect i hate about it. Its just another way for needy pathetic people to seek attention for their miserable little lives and apart from the odd pleb here and there no one actually gives a two balls mickey about them.

Don't get me wrong, not every person on FB is a twat and im sure it has its uses but i find a newer more obnoxious breed of attention seeking moron is emerging with the popularity of this site. In order for this plague not to grow its best not to feed it so therefore by not participating im contributing to not feeding it. Plenty will but im sure theyll eventually become sick of the so called friends posing and posting shíte

Frankly I for one am delighted i opted out of participating on it. I kept an open mind to it but soon as i logged on i decided this is not for me and deleted my profile straight away

Facebook is a disease, a truly wretched disease. It's horrible, I hate it, I should be able to just not be on facebook without problems, but for some stupid reason every college club and society thinks it's a great idea to do everything through facebook.

That said, now that I've deleted mine and insist on only using email, phone and face-to-face communication, I think my life is better.

Facebook is ****, I would urge everybody on it to leave.
