    Yes.

Discussing gay sex acts. Not so much.

Well; its probably easier to comment on a mans beard than a womans.

You can say it is magnificent. Perhaps a small pat of the cheek to confirm texture.

As long as the balls don't touch its not gay

Yes but in order to sound sincere you need to stroke the other guys beard while offering him some grooming advice!!

    Otherwise it just looks ghey!!

Unless you're complimenting how nice it feels when his beard is tickling your balls then no, it's not gay.

No, any man with a beard is too manly to compliment another man on anything. Except to say "good job".

    No.

There is however a silent acknowledgement between bearded men. Kind of like that head nod you to do someone you kind of know as you walk past them in the street.

You just stoke your own knowingly while giving the other guy a passing nod.Under no circumstances do you speak to each other.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,639 ✭✭✭✭OldGoat

Reaching out and stroking his beard unasked is the politest way of giving him complement, similar to the way you can reach out and cup any womans breasts that you wish to complement.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

    Tough question.

The inferior bearded man will usually assume a submissive stance.
Stand very still and glance toward the ground for a few seconds, he should get the message.

reciprocation is an invitation to drink rum.

I hear if two equally manly beards touch, it creates a singularity and they cancel each other out. Is this true?

You might be better off asking the community over on beards.ie

A man with a beard never needs to explain anything or curry favour with anyone.

A slow nod of approval with a glance from an eye of chipped granite is enough.

There's a beard living at the bottom of my garden. Poor thing is scared and alone, I think it's been mistreated in the past. Over the past few weeks I've been leaving out a bowl of Imperial Stout at night and now it will let me stroke it. It's really cute. I'll upload a picture if I get a chance.

I'm on a bus and a man just got on with a ponytail (beardtail?) in his beard.

    S'odd.

    Depends where you do it.

To a grizzled companion on a Polar expedition, you're probably good.

Across a merchandising display to a random dude in Urban Outfitters, alarm bells.

    Of course.

    "Nice beard man" (no homo).

Not sure about that, but I do know that when two bearded men cross paths, the one with the manly-est beard has right of way :pac:

    Thank God.
I thought I was being gay when I said that a strangers beard was very nice. He blushed. I felt a bit gay and regretted it STRAIGHTaway.

    Not coming out today.

Chances are if you've grown a beard over the last few years then you are , in fact, a massive benny so you're going to sound gay all the time

Would having a beard count if it's on the face of a hipster?

    that's not a beard that's a facial vagina

What's wrong with sounding gay anyway? A complement is a complement, end of.

If by beard you mean a woman who goes out with a gay guy to cover up his sexuality then yes, complementing her would make him sound even less gay

Sounding gay is irrelevant, you just never complement another man with a beard.

But there is one exception - you may only complement a bearded brother when in the company of women (men who can't grow beards).

Im am staying in tonight to watch reruns of Walker, Texas Ranger.

Drink beer and maybe a watch a little UFC and Superbike racing later.

My beard will not get trimmed tomorrow and I will reuse today's socks .

I'm hoping this will cure me from my comment, to that man I insulted earlier with my complement.

You can only compliment anothers beard when you are grooming it for food stored for later use. Otherwise it's just silly.
