    Use Powerpoint or similar.
You could do a profile of a smaller European city (one people may not be so familiar with is probably best - maybe Dresden or Gdansk), starting with where it is, little bit of history, details on possible ways to get there, main tourist attractions, places to stay etc. You could certainly get 15 minutes out of that.
Lots of visuals, maps, screenshots of airline booking forms etc..

When you say any topic, would that be OK?

Is this to present to the class or just give to the instructor?
I think they will just be looking at your organisational skills and presentation style, in which case anything at all will do, but is there a way you can double check with the instructor?

Present to the class. Wont be graded on it as it will only be week 2 of course.
It can be on anything but I really am at a loss I suppose it needs to be something I know a bit about but where do I even start...

First, choose your topic. I don't know what interests you so that's up to you.
Second, assemble or create lots of interesting images/diagrams/graphs to do with it.
Third, create a powerpoint demonstration that you can use to talk through your images.

I don't know how much interaction they would allow, but for example you could do a presentation on how to make a specific type of paper airplane, or origami design and then test how well you have taught it by giving out sheets of paper and seeing can people follow your instructions.

15 minutes is actually quite a long time for someone who is not used to presenting. I think they might shorten that.

I did one for my Communications module, it was only ten minutes.

I played to my strengths, and talked about electronic music production (I've been into it as a hobby for the last couple of years so was pretty easy). I also played a short youtube video related to the topic which was about four minutes (slightly cheating but....feck it!). I got marked 9/10 :)

Anyway, play to your strengths. What are you most knowledgeable about?

It's not essential to prepare a big complicated powerpoint presentation. I noticed that a few of my classmates did that and basically all they were doing was flicking through the powerpoint screens and reading aloud what they had already typed (common mistake, the audience is well able to read).

Some people did their presentation on the history of their favourite band, or a brief history of their favourite author....simple stuff.

The hardest thing about doing these sort of exercises is not the content, it's actually standing up there in front of people and being the focus of attention!

One more tip - on the day in question - try and be one of the first to do yours, otherwise you'll be sitting there for ages and will be very nervous.

When it's done, you'll feel awesome! Real confidence booster!
