The family of a boy with special needs are appealing for information after his specially adapted bicycle was stolen from outside his school.

The child, who has autism spectrum disorder, is just 6 years old and his mother had imported the bicycle and the special stabilisers from the UK.

The theft occurred outside Merlin Woods primary school, Doughiska, Co Galway, on Tuesday afternoon.
