Thinking of going skiing in middle march.
Looking at saalback or kirkberg in austria or soldeu el tartar in andorra. would higher altitude in andorra be safer bet in mid march? Been to austria twice before tyrol and zell and once to arinsal Years ago. Enjoyed both but andorra seems to be such better value now as well seeing as they have a large linked area in soldeu.

If twas me definetly austria.never been to andorra but almost everyone i know that has rekon its only a one time trip.Austria is a top place to go skiing wether you want the bling bling of solden,St anton or ischgl or a cost effective trip to some reallyt nice traditional austrian villages such as soll,Kitzbuhell or mayrhofen. Most places in austria should be pretty good in mid march

    OP...

Its Austria all the way for me. My first skiing holiday was in Andorra, Arinsal, you just cannot compare the two, Austria is MILES ahead in every respect.

Ive also been to Saalbach, excellent resort but with this years lack of snow for March Id steer clear. Im heading there on 19th of February and very nerous about teh skiing conditions.

If i were you id look at St Anton, Lech or ischgl, all excellent resorts, expensive yes but worth the money... been to all and have to say they are fab and a good bet for Mid March.... anything lower and Id say youll be in trouble ;)

This yers snow dump has been the worst in years... the "usual" late skiing resorts are not reliable this year.
