just so people know, this model has no wi-fi, mono sound, no stereo and no video out feature.

otherwise its a nice piece of kit

Buying a PSP in 2005 and putting some custom firmware on it immediately was the best purchase of my life, in terms of value for money.

The WiFi on a PSP is of no use anyway and the video out is a wast of time on less you don't have anything else to use on a big screen they are useless features for a lot of people so I would not hold back on this offer just because this lacks them.

what do you mean no use?
how do you connect to the PSN if there's no WiFi?
I know, that everyone puts custom firmware on the PSP right away, but still - there are people out there, that buy games officially. I've got like 30+ games for PSP bought from PSN, so console without WiFi is simply useless for me.

    from Playstation Blog:

How do I download games from PlayStation Store?
You can download new games, including PSP Essentials and minis titles, as well as additional game content, using Media Go on your PC. This is a free PC download available from www.sony.com/mediago.

You can then connect your PC to PSP-E1000 using a USB cable to transfer content across.

You will need a SEN account to download content from PlayStation Store. If you do not have a SEN account already, you will need to create one by using either a Wi-Fi enabled PSP or a PS3 system. You can find further details on how to create a SEN account at eu.playstation.com/psn/support.

if you ask me - that's way too much hassle.

You can connect it to a PS3 and download them that way.

I wouldn't really like my kids having unsupervised internet access anyway.

It is out of stock everywhere in Dublin, not really a bargain if it is not available.

There's more to the country than just Dublin.

In stock several places I checked around the country.

Very good price for a new one. Alternatively, several websites sell preowned versions of newer/better equipped models around the £50 mark upwards. 2nd hand superior PSP 3000 here for £49.99 preowned.

Yes, there is more around the country, but it cannot be bought online. :(
