Have to agree, it's arguable bod isn't the best 13 in Ireland right now, never mind the world.

I was guessing boards.ie most disliked players, Keith Earls was at 10 first time I saw it, but the absence of Calum Clark rules that out I think. And who could dislike Leigh Halfpenny, the beautiful bastard

Did you see Alex Corbisiero demolish Australia's scrum? Not many in the world can do that and I think it cements him at no.1.
Dylan Hartley gets a bad rap, but his ability to come back from all his citings and still play with the same aggression is astounding.
Euan Murray is clearly the best tight-head, people just don't get to see it cause he doesn't play on Sundays.
Lawes is the king at hitting fly-halfs who have passed the ball, hence he's a shoe in at lock.
Richie Gray is an incredible athlete and I think his younger brother's performances confirm that.
    Tom Wood is a gentleman.
I don't think anyone can debate Sam Warburton at 7. Warren Gatland picked him as captain and I think he knows more about rugby than you or I.
Sergio Parisse always looks better than his team-mates for Italy, although Vunipola has exploded onto the scene.
Ireland are blessed to have a game-changing scrum-half like Conor Murray, and we're all lucky that we're getting to witness him. He's putting real pressure on Genia for the Planet Earth XV.
I think Beauden Barrett has been sublime when he sometimes comes off the bench.
George North is like the terminator. Beep Beep Beep.
Billy Twelvetrees is a British and Irish Lion and is managing to keep Brad Barritt out of the England XV.
    BOD is God.
It's not easy stand out on the wing for the All Blacks and wait in hope that you might be on the end of something, yet time and time again Smith was there to collect the ball and dot it down last season.
And Leigh Halfpenny is was immaculate from the tee last season so no debate there.

I pretty much agree with your list but I'd have Brad Barritt ahead of Twelvetrees.

I think you pretty much nailed it. 3, 9 (Genia), 11 (Savea), 14 (Ben Smith, Folau), 15 (Dagg, Halfpenny) are all debatable but otherwise I think you are spot on.

Ireland are lucky to have a guy like SOB who can play 6/7 and probably 8 at an international level. He doesn't fit the typical openside jackal role but he brings so much to the table in terms of his overall game that he can play 7 well, which opens up a spot at 6 for another big guy. I wouldn't trade McCaw for SOB personally (I am biased obviously) but the idea of a Kaino/SOB/Read backrow is terrifying. Speaking of which, Kaino is almost certainly going to be back on the international scene and if he can get back to his 2011 form, he will in contention for a world 15 spot sometime in the future.

2011 Kaino was better than 2013 Messam IMO. The question really is whether Kaino can get back to that level after 2 years in Japan. I'm sure his fitness will be as good and he will be physically in good nick, whether he can back to the level of intensity he was at is another story.
