Broken wire maybe . I think thats a common enough problem

We used have a Rossmore, and this happened the odd time. The loader would go up/down the grap would tilt up/down but the grab wouldn't open/close.

It was a loose wire outside where you plug in the socket to the loader, inside in the plug. You can take the plug apart and have a look.

Do you have chest at the front of the loader where you plug in the hyd pipes? Ours stops working if she isn't used for a while like in the summer. We have a kind of barrel on ours that let's the oil flow in and out using current and there is a little barrel in it that gets stuck. We open it up take it apart and put it back together again. Works then.

Others problem we have is in the joystick. The contactts inside the switch get burnt over time. All I do us take switch apart carefully clean of black burn and put a little dab of greese in . works the finest.
This is on a quick loader though

Bigtime. Open the cap on the joystick. The black wire on the top has broken off. Happened mine twice in the last year and it's only 2 yrs old. Solder it back on and away you go. Tip for soldering: heat that plate not the wire.
