im living close to belmullet in co mayo and i retuned my freeview box but lost most of the freeview channels.

when i factory reset the box all the channels show up but with only bbc1 and 2HD coming in constant. the rest come in then go when i switch the channel.

i have check the tuning guide and tried to add the transponders but it says they already exist.

the box is a ROSS aura HD reciever

I assume you mean your FTA satellite receiver, Freeview is the UK terrestrial service like Saorview via an aerial.

Why did you do a factory reset on your receiver?
Were you losing the channels before the reset, if so could your sat dish have moved slightly during the recent windy conditions?

yes the FTA reciever via sattalite.
i was trying to add one or two channels that werent on.

when i did a standard scan for FTA channels it detected only about 10 channels none of which worked.

i did the factory reset to see what channels it would bring up but the only one that it is recieving now is bbcHD even.though the rest like channel 4 are on the list

the dish hadnt moved thats why i was wondering why the channels werent showing up now when they were before

Could be an LNB, cable or box problem.

Can you test your receiver on another dish?
Is it a possible to test another receiver on your dish?

Are you missing any specific group of channels, V or H polarisation? hi band (11.7-12.75) or lo band (10.7-11.7) channels? Check against Lyngsat for example

How do you know the dish hasn't moved?

What frequency is shown for the version of Channel 4 you checked?
