Hey, I was thinking of booking a room in Gort for next year, i'm in first year at the moment living in Cuirt (fierce dry) but I'm worried that most of the people living over there are all friends that get the houses together and then i'd be a lone wolf stuck in with a load of besties! does anyone have any past experience with the place? :)

I went from Corrib to Gort this year, and I was put in with Americans that were studying abroad for a semester. For the most part all the Americans I've met have been lovely and very down to earth (bar one weirdo!), but it was a bit annoying getting new roommates this semester! Other than that living in Gort has been grand, and I preferred being with Americans rather than moving in with people who already knew one another.
Hope that's some help to you!
Apart from Cuirt being fairly dry, was it an ok place to live? Many final years there? Thinking of somewhere quieter to live for final year! :)

My house mate is in her final year but other than her everyone I've come across are first years and then a few second years. Not that I'd know everyone, you cant do too much mixing here as your key fob only allows you into your own block, if you want to go into a different one you need someone to come down and open it for you. It is pretty quiet here, most parties get shut down basically straight away, nobody can bring anyone back coz the security asks your name and house and looks you up in his folder which has all our pictures in it to make sure its you, so yeah fairly dry. It is a nice place though, comfortable and all :)
Is your house in Gort mixed? I live with all girls, actually everyone on my floor are girls! I think it would be a bit more craic to live in a mixed house? :)
