Check B&H or Adorama. Then order and have it shipped to your friend (or his hotel). Then he can bring it back for you.

Very possible. Rates change, as does regional pricing. Sometimes it's cheaper, and sometimes it's not.

Have you looked at the price on Amazon (UK or DE), and some of the other European based online sellers.

BH are looking for $847 (right now), with Amazon.COM looking for the same $847.

Amazon in the UK are £502 and DE is €618. Might be easier to get "locally".

I have relations in the states so have looked into this a few time. Its not worth it. The savings are mimimal (very often more expensive) and then there's the warrenty to think about.

Keep an eye out on camerapricebuster and compare the prices with adorama or similar in the US. Often direct from the UK including parcel motel if required is much cheaper.
