Text random girl?

Heres one for you now. This might be quite common but I haven't experienced it yet anyway.

I work in a late big bar thing just as a glass collector etc and tonight some random American girl walked up to be and told me her friend thought I was hot. Then explained how in the US, its common for this to happen whereby her friend gives me her number and I text her after work. I was shocked enough but in the moment said why not.

The friend was quite pretty and gave me her name and number on a piece of paper.

Basically, is it even worth texting this girl? First time this has happened really. I dont even know how common stuff like that is here..

On one hand im thinking what do I have to lose :P and on the other I am thinking, maybe they were just drunk. (Didnt really seem to be mind you). I am bad for over analysing things though.

As someone who works a nightclub, I only text if I see them before they are leaving and they aren't sh1tfaced. If they are, I quickly lose the number because I usually won't text the next day...

If they were pretty sober when they gave the number, then I'll text the next morning with a joke about giving bartenders your number. Works well.

My biggest regret at that job (aside from not sticking my neck out for this one super hot czech waitress) was that I forgot all about it until after I did the laundry.
