    African accent?

I'm no linguist but I imagine that between Morocco and Madagascar there may be more than one accent.

I think its probably because most people who do an African accent cant really do an African accent.

People from the west of Ireland can do African accents pretty well.

Usually because people can't really do it and go straight for Ugandan/Nigerian accents only anyway which is a bit tiresome

No matter what accent I try to do I end up sounding like the guy who answers the phone in my local Indian take away.

    Think he's Chinese.

Try saying 'beer can sandwich' without sounding like a Jamaican asking for rashers.

I've travelled this old world of ours from Barnsley to Peru
I've had sunshine in the arctic and a swim in Tinbuktu
I've seen unicorns in Burma and a Yetti in Nepal
And I've danced with ten foot pygmies in a Montezuma hall
I've met the King of China and a working Yorkshire miner

But I've never met a nice South African.

To be fair, the Nigerian accent is one of the most entertaining and whimsical I have ever heard and I have no problem with people doing it. As long as they do it well.

I had a Nigerian friend in school and I never got tired of listening to him talk, especially when he got irate about something.

There isn't really an "African accent", I think you're trying to imitate a Nigerian accent OP?
The southern accents; Namibia, Angola etc are nothing like the Nigerian accents. Much softer and nicer.

    Zimbabwe accent
