    Hi All,

    I'm Looking to wirelessly relay a fiber broadband connection..

    Does anyone know anyone up on Woodcock Hill overlooking limerick city who'd be willing to participate in helping to relay the connection on??

    Haven't heard of that before?? have you any source. I would be quite skeptical due to the differences in frequencies involved between wifi and radar. Also, all equipment nowadays would have to go through rigorous testing to ensure such a thing wouldn't happen. Anyway, I would like to learn more and to be proved wrong! and when you say "shut down" what do you mean?

    ah yes.. weather radar, i was thinking of aircraft positioning radar....

    If you check out the met.ie site: http://www.met.ie/latest/rainfall_radar.asp you can actually see the effect of interference from such sources i believe...

    have a look at tonights rainfall radar ,
    I can't be 100% certain but i believe the static line looking ghosts

    (for example at 17:15 tonight is an example of interference to the woodcock hill radar)
    (and 17:00 has interference to the dublin radar)

    nice one!

    it doesn't cause them to "shut down" though ;)
