I love Apple products but their refusal to support Flash really annoys me, so much so that when my current iPad kicks the bucket I'm highly unlikely to get a new one as a result. Tons of videos I click won't work on it and now tonight I wanted to do a simple speed test of my broadband and every site I go to requires Flash to do the test, it's so frustrating that Apple have limited the ability of the tablet for whatever reasons they have.

So is there any way to use Flash on an iPad? I know I could jailbreak but don't want to do that. I usually use Safari for browsing but I tried some flash sites with Chrome and it still won't work. Does Firefox have any kind of plugin that will make sure Flash works ?

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to play flash due to apple and adobe (I think) not agreeing on certain things.
You could try the Skyfire browser, it plays video from most sites.
Just check out some reviews. Bee using it a while myself and I'm happy with it.

Chrome uses the same rendering engine as Safari. For Flash, I use Puffin Web Browser.

If it's just a speed test you want to do you can use a site called Ookla which has an ipad compatible app you can use....

What sites are you finding that still use flash? Flash for mobile devices effectively ended back in 2011 when Adobe themselves stop supporting it and also Google dropped support from Android. There are ways to get it to work through custom browsers on iOS and Android but I have to say that I rarely encounter a site that uses it now. Most use HTML video streaming instead or have an app to give better functionality such as RTE Player. Flash will die out over the next few years.

For a Speedtest on your IOS device download the Speedtest.net app

Sites that stream sports use flash. I use Photon Browser. Only cost a couple of euro and it's worth it.
