Hi, i'm almost having a panick attack so if anyone could help me that would be great.

I applied through cao last year for a place to DIT. I got it, and accepted it. In August my circunstances changed so I could no longer attend college (I never did, simply accepted it through CAO). I sent an email to SUSI to cancel my application, and sent an email to DIT informing them of my changes of circunstances. I downloaded the withdrawal form, filled it and sent it to them. The form required a signature from the Head Office, so I assumed if I just sent it to them they'd just sign it then and fill out the part that they're supposed to fill out.

I never went a single day, never got a student card as I didnt even go to registration, I thought everythng was over. Well today I got a letter from them saying I have an outstanding fee of 2,500 to pay! I emailed them about it, saying I withdrew and cancelled my susi application, even sent them the email of me requesting to cancel my SUSI application.

They havent replied to me and i'm almost having a panic attack. I can't pay that! I have no means to, and I never availed of any services! I've no way to prove I sent them a withdrawal form either, as its not like I got a receipt for sending a letter in freaking September.

    On the website it says:
    Defer/Withdraw between 1st November 2013 & 31st January 2014
Students are liable for payment of 50% of fees for the academic session.

What am i gonna do now?! Send another withdrawal form? I cant pay 50% or any money! If the letter or form was lost, then how is that my fault? Please please if anyone can help me, please do, dont assume someone else will. I'm raelly stressed over this....

Ring DIT and just insist you sent it and ask them to check their records.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
