Manually installing samsung smart TV apps

Is there a way to install apps on a samsung smart tv that aren't available through samsungs app store? Specifically I'm thinking about 4oD, as far as I know it works in Ireland, but isn't available through the app store here. Am I right in thinking it would work here if I could get it?
