FSC Purpose Group Q

    Hi,

Quick question, could anyone tell me what purpose group a new Physiotherapy practice would fall under in TGD Part B??

The space is a vacant retail unit along a busy street so it will be a change of use.

    Many Thanks.

I've had doctors surgeries before and they were assessed as Purpose Group 5 (Assembly and Rec)

The TGDs were loosly drawn from the England and Wales 'Approved Documents'
The purpose groups are very similar to ours so I sometimes refer to their purpose groups which gives more detail on the classifications. You can find there relevant table here on page 140: http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/uploads/br/BR_PDF_AD_B2_2013.pdf.
Of course, that document has no relevance in this country but it can be helpful for reference.

If you are still unsure, its best to ask the local BCO as you dont want your application totally rejected because you chose the wrong purpose group.
