Is there any real difference between their equivalent products?

E.g The Tegral Rivendale vs the Capco Berona Structured vs the SVK Cromleigh Textured

(Assume this thread is ok with Charter given the size of these companies?)

    apparently stay away from SVK.

capco and tegral and essentially the same.

be sure to check warranties and keep copies of same for future reference.

    slate can be problematic.

Sadly I also have to stay away from tegral and Capco! Lots of mis information. Seems to be hit and miss and the odd person gets unlucky.

One thing that does concern me seem is getting your guarantee honored.

I have got a great prices on Homevalue's Elith slate.
Anyone have dealings with Ardonit slates?

Ardonit are Svk slates (man made). No issue so far. Rep was excellent. Ran short of ridge tiles due to breakage on site and he drop ten free of charge.

I have heard some bad reviews on Tegral so this made me go with Capco Berona. I have had no problems so far with them. They were installed on the roof in end of 2014. They are still clean, and in good condition. I haven't seen the slates twist or warp at all so I am happy I went with Capco.

Just to re-reignite the thread...I used SVK Cromleigh Textured 10 years ago.

No complaints...they are weathering well and retaining their colour.

I had to replace several ridge tiles because the installer put them on the wrong way, and they were easy to source.

    I would recommend without hesitation.

Just out of curiosity did you get the 10 or 20 year colour warranty?

I think 20. I am sure there are plenty of exclusions.

    No problems so far.
