I have a few smart tvs in the house and a usb hdd in my main tv, is it possible to get a router that I can plug the hdd into and access it fro bedroom tvs etc? Or am I better getting a nas drive, basically what do I need to share films (bluray rips) wireless to any smart tv in the house? Also I have a non smart tv in my shed, how can I connect this?

NAS connected with LAN direct to router. All of them publish the files over DLNA which all smart TVs will pick up. All files can be copied to it over thr network.

As for TV in shed, you will need something like a WDTV (€90 in Maplins) that turns your TV smart essentially. I use one too for Netflix and watching files over DLNA on my server.

Would this http://www.asus.com/uk/Networking/RTAC68U with a normal external drive cut the mustard?

Many thanks, do you know if a nas drive into a virgin media super hub 2 would be better?

Ideally, a dedicated NAS would be best or else in the case of the Asus where DLNA is directly supported so I'm not sure how your Smart TV's would pickup on a Super Hub.
